Red Fort is located at one end of the famous Chandni Chowk is one of the top tourist attraction in Old Delhi. Built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan and the fort served as the main residence of the emperors of the Mughal dynasty.
The fort has been designated as UNESCO World Heritage Site in the year 2007.

Every year the Independence day ceremony is held at the fort so the fort is not open for visitors on 15th August every year and also few days before 15th August.
